I am just outside of Albany NY....and yes, is extremely cold here in the winter. Last year we had 30 days straight of below zero weather. I only skiied one time last year, it was way too cold for me.

Other than that, I love it here. The four seasons are awesome and right now we are in the midst of the fall foliage, it is very pretty.

30 days straight of below zero weather? I knew that the East Coast had a bad winter last year - but I had no idea! That is cold, cold - especially bad when it goes on for days and days. Come on out here to Northern Idaho and warm up.
