As far as I know it's a New Age idea that various precious and semi-precious crystals produce vibrations and if you set them up right in the correct positions around you they can cure all ills. Honestly it sounds like a fraud to me, with no scientific backing at all that I'm aware of. However, it does help keep a number of shops in business.

My general feeling is that if you want to meditate, meditate. You don't need bling to do it.

In my professional guise I'm generally addressed as Mystic Meg, if that helps, along with welcome expressions of faith like "do please take this five pound note for your trouble".
