Feedback/opinion on online tutors

"Hello, I am PhD student doing research on the effectiveness of online tutoring. Would you be able to share your experience? Anything about problems, cost effectiveness, effect on grades would be quite helpful.

I have used following online tutors for my son.

tutorswithoutlimits.

sylvan-online.

Based on my experience , it was good and cheap.

I'm enrolled in an online degree program. There are tutors available, so I suppose that might qualify.

I think it's been fairly well documented that one can learn this way. It shouldn't be the only tool used, but an adjunct.

I need help with Science. Are there any free or inexpensive tutors available online? I found several databases full of science answers which were very helpful, but I would really like to find a tutor to work with.
