New Software Upgrade - Don't be alarmed!

Post by webmaster »

Hello All,

We are going to be upgrading FG's software over the next few hours. You may experience some site "weirdness" during this time.

Thanks for your understanding.

Yes! If errors show up, be sure to hard refresh the page. Much of the javascript is changing.

Is it staying like this or will the old front page be brought back?

Are all the forums being moderated so that it takes a while for posts to appear?

Is it just mine?

Peg,

Thanks for the note on the non-appearance of posts. We'll check that now.

i was frustrated today when threads i had posted in or was interested in would simply disappear off the radar...this applies to people like me in the habit of hitting 'new posts'...then i noticed at the top of the page we now have 'today's posts' so you can continue to watch the threads which interest you. everyone else probably figured this out before ms. inspector clouseau here! :wah: .....i still want my google toolbar back. :-1

Thank you lc. I had a broadband connection problem yesterday, still have actually, and thought that my posts disappearing was somehow down to the fact that I'm temporarily using dial up again!! (I know it's not logical but that didn't stop me). But now I can see what happens.

to get back the editing toolbar, you need to switch editors. go to 'my settings', select 'edit options', scroll to the bottom of the page, and select either 'standard' or 'enhanced' editor. it seems the 'basic' editor mode has been 'dumbed down' even more so than before.
