Mexico City Had a 7.1 Earth Quake - devastating.

President Trump tweets to Mexico "God Bless Mexico & We are here for you".

Was this genuine? Or just a statement expected from the Pres.? Does Trump plan on sending support?

I thought we were building a wall?:-2

Yes , a wall to stop earthquakes from crossing the border..

Actually here's a thought.....if a wall is built and during an earthquake it falls on someone......who's liable?

I don't see where one has to do with the other. I am all for border security, 100%. My problem with Trump and his wall idea is it is not the most efficient way to protect be the border.

He brags about being a builder and I suspect he sees a physical wall as a legacy.

I didn't realize Trump sent support already - that pissed me off actually.

Do you not think WE have enough disasters going on right here in the US...?

WA- Oregon - Idaho & Wyoming are on fire..:-5 - disaster - devastating

Do you think the people in the gulf coast are all cozy in their own beds? worse devastation - flooding - homeless etc..

And this idiot bends over to Mexico - (we are here for you) it made me sick.

As soon as the news of the earthquake came through, I felt bad about thinking it, but the immediate thing that came into my mind was just that. "We're gonna build a wall, and it'll be a great big wall - a beautiful wall..." - but also the Biblical phrase, "The Trump(ets) blew and the walls came tumbling down".

Hypocrite is the wrong word.A fool is better. I am always amazed when politicians promise results when all they can guarantee is the promise to give every effort to accomplish a goal. As President he cannot order a well built, should have known that.

Here's a thought....the "wall" is proposed to stop illegal Mexican immigrants from entering the USA. All they would have to do is apply for the appropriate documentation. However, the victims of the terrible earthquake are innocent Mexican citizens, so, of course, we as a country should send our condolences and support. Two separate issues. JMO
