Irons from Tesco

I bought one of Tesco special offer irons for under £5. Great... except it didn't work!

Took it back to the store with the receipt. No longer have the 'cheap' irons so paid extra for a new Hinari Lifestyle iron. Confident that this would work I threw away the recept. STUPID!

You guessed it it doesn't work and Tesco will do nothing about replacing it because I don't have a receipt.

I wonder how many other people were seduced into buying a non working 'cheap' iron, forced to exchange it for another one (Good for Tesco they have got you to visit their store twice, got you to spend more money and left you with nothing)

Just for future reference you didn't have to exchange you could have insisted on a refund. Sale of goods act it it doesn't work it is not fit for the purpose they don't have a leg to stand on.
