I'm drawing a cartoon tree topper. Is this what a British Fairy looks like?

Koan, the fairy reminds me of the "altered art" I see on eBay a lot. Collage art with paper, glitter, fabrics and other ephemera. Do you care for that at all? :)

Because it's my first Christmas in England.

I don't know the ebay art. Maybe I'll try selling him after Christmas. :yh_giggle

My daughter thinks this is great.

She's doomed. She's got my sense of humour.

I saw a black Christmas tree today. I was thinking we'd do a black and white Christmas tree with some coloured lights.

Saying that, I also bought squidgy cushions that vibrate. Great for back and neck problems!

anything that vibrates is good in my book. :D

Somehow a fairy tree doesn't seem to need balls. :wah:

How about some glittery paper poodles wearing tutus?? Umm...other British icons...the queen, tiny crowns and scepters, big ben, red phone booths, sentries? Or how about an alice in wonderland theme with playing cards all jeweled up and gold coins, rabbits, cats and mushrooms?

A victorian tree with old fashioned tussy mussy ornaments?

Gingerbread people?

A bird theme?

How about giving us an idea of what you and your daughter like and we can try to find a cool theme for you guys?? :)

It is a cone shaped vase of sorts that is used as a bouquet holder. I carried one at my friend's wedding. I'll see if I can find a photo of one for you. :)

Ok here it is.

Yes, the tree is black.

I'll put an full pic and then a few of the "ornaments"

I drew all the Wonderland characters from stuff I found on the net then printed them out. Enya and I coloured them in and then I cut them out and put string from the back to hang them. Haven't had this much fun decorating a tree in ages. Thanks, Glitter!

I can see the tree now, Koan!! It's great! I love the words "winter wonderland" you put on it. And I adore the fairy topper! I'd buy something like that if I came across it. Very cool tree, ma'am! :)
