British Embassy in Dublin

Post by capt_buzzard »

The British Embassy in Dublin has been 'inundated' with telephone calls and emails from Irish people in Southern Ireland expressing sympathy with their neighbours in Britian.

Members of the public, as well as political and religious leaders, began visiting the British Embassy yesterday to sign a book of condolence. Hundreds of thousands wish to pay their respects.

''This has been a most terrible tragedy that has cost many lives. The kind thoughts of the Irish people are much appreciated at this sad time,'' said the British Ambassador in Dublin yesterday.

The book of condolences will be open from 10.30am to 4pm weekdays.http://www.britishembassy.ie/
