Another word we cannot use - UK Ireland

Post by capt_buzzard »

Without wishing to generalise, all farmers are quite mad.

In Ireland they clog up our high streets with tractors whenever their free EU money is threatened. In France, they burn livestock and attack British truckers at the slightest provocation while, in England, they have really taken hyper sensitivity to new levels.

The British Potato Council is lobbying the Oxford English Dictionary to remove the term 'couch patato' ''we are trying to get rid of the image that potatoes are bad for you''. Its bad for our business.

The poor put-upon farmers...their industry is subsidized more heavily than almost anything else in America.

But I'm loathe to to cross them. I like my steak and potatoes, you see. :(
