A Little Ahead

Post by polycarp »

Once the candles are kindled

The desert trek commences

Across a wilderness of arid dunes

Where unquenchable thirst torments travelers

Who then view the coveted oasis

A little ahead.

A swift run to the scene

Finds though really, nothing

For what was beheld

Is but a mirage

Whose virtual image

Ever hangs

A little ahead

Life’s like an obscure writing on the wall

Sought to be deciphered

A quest for the vain

Amidst the erratic

Answers to which when dug,

More questions seem to be unearthed.

Will the network ever be unraveled?

How it baffles the rational domain

Maybe when the philosopher’s stone is found

When death will itself die

And gold as plenty as sand

Perhaps in the next world

Which they say, lies

A little ahead
A formula for tact: "Be brief politely, be aggressive smilingly, be emphatic pleasantly, be positive diplomatically, be right graciously".
