My favorite poets are Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, Lewis Carroll, and more.
Who is/are yours?
"Never did the world know me
Never did it care
Never did it answer my scream
Or even take a look
Never did it talk to me
Or tell me who to blame
Never did it matter
Because we were all the same. "
"If only I could drink the world
It would taste like strawberry wine
All Concords and memories, a sinful mix of time
All those supple little tingles
How I would savor every burst
Oh moments can’t you share
The realization of the sublime"
I don't claim talent... I twiddle - Constructive critiquing appreciated.

Two Short Poems
"I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped. "

I like the second one the best, it flows from the thought of wine and memories, to what could have been.

Thanks, that was rather poetic of yourself to phase it like that.
