Here I stand once more
before the bleak and icy sea
wondering if the distant sunrise
holds any answers for me.
Dwarfed by clifftops, long and dark
shadows in abundance,
I look to the path from the light of the moon
avoiding the redundance
that seem so inevitable
so irrevocable.
The horizon glitters
with a musty, dusty glow, a distant ship
signalling it's arrival
the wandering vessel back from it's trip
heralds my revival.
Does it hold treasures
or casketed pleasures?
I can't give in to denial.
So all that remain are trodden steps
to be washed away by the tide
sadness of stars eclipsed by the sun,
I'm still right by your side.

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"
