The Light

Take me to a place where I’ll be safe, take me there so I won’t lose faith.

I try to be brave, look around with a smile on my face.

But I live in a very dark place, each time I leave my own space it seems to get worse.

This is pain is not pretty, I think that’s why it suits me.

Matches the ugliness and darkness inside that I so try so hard to hide.

I try to see the good when I look around, but all it does is get me down.

My view has been obscured by a dark cloud, and everything I see is black.

Where is my light at the end of the tunnel, where is my escape from this nightmare.

Where is the one that will love me unconditionally and give me hope?

Where is my saviour, Where is my freedom.
