Lucifer and the Irish Hen

Lucifer and the Irish Hen

Oh I'll mind me manners,

Oh I'll mind me manners,

And I hope you don't

Mind,

Me kind,

Of manners!

Cause I ain't got no manners,

Nor I never 'ad no manners,

Dooooon't teach me manners,

Don't you even try!

...

Born to prophesy,

And bound to boorish prose,

I bought me a hen,

Paid less than ten,

And sold 'er for me clothes,

...

Never was a feathered cousin,

Traded for so much,

Lucifer was fond of her,

And told it to 'er much

...

Born to prophesy,

And bound to boorish prose,

Half of what I know,

I don't even wanna know
