Concerning Love and Art

Post by koan »

The wind carries it in its belly

Whispering softly and compelling

A lyre of harmonious rhythm

I hear the musician and I dance with him

A ripple, a wave and then it stands still

The music subsides against my will

The harder I listen, the softer the word

I search empty faces of those who've not heard

Tears of love for their sadness and pain

Fall to my pillow as I join them again

The moon rises in my desolate garden

A relentless mirror of Truth to see my heart in

Who planted these weeds and called them flowers?

For believing this lie I've wasted my hours

Feeding and loving these knotted vines of science

They grew into a prison demanding compliance

The harder I struggle to cut myself free

The stronger they grow in their bondage of me

Tears of hate for their cruelty and malice

Fill my cup and I drink from the chalice

I've become a stranger in this fair land

For the wind has returned and taken my hand

My heart aches, for those still inside of the chism

Would rather I stay there in bondage with them

Although an illusion, this garden is cunning

For at least it is known, it is safe and it's numbing

In Truth, without deceit, certain and most veritable

I genuflect at the foot of the Sun, be it charitable

Though my eyes can see only that below

My soul can feel what my eyes can't know

Surrender your name

To the eternal flame

Surrender your mind

And enter blind

Sweet soul caresses, the wind undresses

The ancient sound and it whispers profound

Blood coursing up and down

The serpent spine and crown

My voice, once strong, here sounds so feeble to me

I need a friend in this uncharted sea.

Why? How many do you have to smoke to understand it? :D

I don't know, folks. He's sounds like a big talker.

Should I give my address to someone who has "beautiful pain" as their chosen image?
