Save Brazil's children?

I learned recently that Brazil has a serious problem with the children there being treated unfairly and even shot for digging through trash trying to find food to eat.

This is just one example of how children are mistreated in that area.

Should the US go in and try to fix or aid these children like we do in Africa for AIDS and poverty problems?

I really wish we could save all of these children. Their life is awful. It's very sad indeed:mad:

I don't understand how children can be treated like this:(
