Shinty

I've just been watching Shinty on BBC Alba. I'd heard of it but never actually watched it before. It's kinda like hockey crossed with hurling but played on a huge pitch and its played in the highlands of Scotland.

Quite interesting. Not quite as violent as the Hurling I've watched

It was popular at St Andrews when I was there. Never played it myself, but was at the Athletic Union a lot for Fencing and used to see it going on. Hockey with attitude seemed to be the basic description.
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"

Lone voice: "I'm not."
