Rice to sign with Niners

Post by valerie »

Yes, folks, did we ever doubt it would happen?

Jerry Rice signs a contract with the Niners this Thursday. This

enables him to officially retire as a Forty-Niner.

Celebration to come Nov. 19th at halftime of the Niners/Seahawks

game.

He isn't un-retiring. It's just so he'll have the uniform when he goes

in the Hall of Fame, and other things. Symbolic.

If they don't play for the Bills, I will admit to being a bit in the dark about who they play for. Except the Mannings..they are rather cute.:-4

Also Marie the Seattle Seahawks and (briefly) Denver Broncos.

He was with the Niners for 16 seasons, though.

Wikipedia says he's "generally regarded as the greatest wide receiver in NFL history." I liked to watch him play and I think it's fitting that he should be inducted as a 49er.
