Ever have a day where you just want to leave and go live in a secluded cabin

Post by Boogalette »

and live off of the land...by yourself??

I had one of those days yesterday. I love my family, I understand and appreciate that I am blessed and fortunate to have the life I do. Honestly.

But yesterday, I was so ready to just bail. The kids were rotten (2 girls 6 and 4.5) and mouthy and messy, the husband is always messy and doesn't see the mess or the amount of housework that needs to be done, and then he's all over me lookin' fer some lovin'. The house is a disaster and I see that the burden is mine.:-5

I think I stopped myself about 3 times from grabbing my coat and just going for a pack of smokes and not coming back!

Today is different...I'm wondering if it was a case of the tireds!

I love my family, however the drudgery really got to me yesterday.

Tell me I'm not the only one who has those days...

You are not the only one, I am sure. We all have those "Please take me away" days. Hope today is better for you.

Thank you. It is a much better day. We're going skating later this afternoon, that ought to help.

I think it was a culmination of the tireds, PMS and the overwhelming chores. My poor family took the brunt of it. To make up for it, I just threw some brownies in the oven. They'll like that I hope.:yh_smiley

Yup. Try to share the burden, explain forcefully but without rancour, see if

the husband will help out a bit more (unless he's similarly beleaguered in his

work and home activities)...!

You could always discuss employing a "home help"!
