Monday Night Football
The ending of this game will go down in History...
Was it a interception?
Was it a Touch Down for Seattle?
How did you see it?

I would need to see what the refs saw as they stood over them on the ground in the endzone. The roughing the QB penalty was horrible. All around the replacement refs are bad. The elite billionaire owners need to pony up. Roger Goodell needs to lose his ego. It's becoming the only thing we talk about instead of talking about the games themselves.

In basketball, it would have been ruled a Jump ball, as both players came down to the ground in possession of the ball.
While the Packer may have caught it in the air first, the Seahawk actually had possession with both feet on the ground first.

Greenbay - Seahawks Game
The questionable call was reviewed and still held up as a touch down for Seattle.
Seattle did not have possession. If it was that clear - than why the controversy?
Lars - you stated Greenbay caught the ball in the air which he did. That's a INTERCEPTION - player used both hands. Where was his feet - oh on top of seattle..?
A smart Seahawk slipped ONE hand into the chest of the Greenbay player who CAUGHT the ball.
The regular officials better come back soon - this could be a tough season.

One of the humorous side effects of the poor officiating has been that even some of the staunch right-wingers who blame unions for everything are now saying that the NFL needs to settle the strike and bring back the union refs.

Patsy,
The guy caught the ball in the air. He had to maintain possession until he had both feet on the ground, in bounds.
The Seahawk had his feet on the ground and had possession of the ball. When both players hit the ground, they both maintained "possession".
In simultaneous possession, the ruling will go to the Offense.
Besides, When the refs got to the players, they were both on the ground, both holding on to the ball. What else could the refs do?
Whichever way they call it, someone is pissed.
Since the one guy signaled TD, they had to go with that call.
Bummer for the Pack.
And this is a call that I doubt the regular refs would have done any better.

If both teams had equal possession the possession goes to the offense which is the TD.
The problem/ controversy is Green Bay had both hands on the ball in the air
clear interception. Good play by the Seahawks to slide his arm in.
Now this UPSET has a rolling effect on all teams.
I didn't care which team won - although I'm from Seattle...:-2
Just win fair - A ref should've been in the End Zone.
I know more about football than I care to - I live with a sports fanatic
My husband played football with O.J...
And both teams should've played better before the Hail Mary.
So, I kinda agree with you - the refs made the call and it is what it is.
I hope this decision makes Green Bay even tougher.
