End of the union?

Second class: Scots MPs locked out after Tories win Evel vote | News | The National

Research by the House of Commons Library showed that of the roughly 3,800 divisions between June 26, 2001 and March 26, 2015, only 25 votes would have gone a different way had Scottish MPs been barred.

Please note every single amendment to the scottish bill made by scots MP's was voted down by english MP's in that wonderfully hooray henry way that seems typical of the tories. Why not scottish votes for scottish issues? It doesn't seem to get much in the UK press and the welsh and irish have been quiet but it gives the lie to us all being part of a union. I'd give it five year or so before anothger referendum takes place.

I'm starting to think that Scotland being so badly treated is a political stratagem designed to 'short-circuit' democracy in England, thus promoting the SNP, who now occupy traditional 'labour ground, and social viewpoints', thus denying the Labour party of Scottish votes, which allows the tories to be a virtually incumbent party in England, coupled with Labour's scurrilous antics in Scotland. Proves how manipulative the tories are, and how little they care for Scotland, or the state of the union. To use an oxymoron, they're 'wise fools' (the tories, not you Scots)....

It's probably more aimed at labour than the SNP. Having said that after the 1997 election there has been onoly one tory MP in scotland wea are getting policies foisted on us most scots actually oppose. Come to think of it thanks to the first past the post system so are most of the english.

british politics are depressing a yes vote in the referendum might have wakened up the english voters and get them more engaged in politics.

It alos means scotsare restricted on what commitees they can sit and no scot can ever be prime minister .
