Taxpayers face £500m bill for RBS Libor fraud - UK Politics - UK - The Independent

I'm fed up with this. none of these bankers have stood trial for what is clearly fraud on a huge scale. The harm they have done is on a scale that is almost beyond comprehension yet they get away with it because the regulators can;'t admit they were at fault and it raises the possibility that politicians should answer for idiotic decisions they have taken while in office. Steal a packet of crisps and you are a thief destroy a bank and you get a pension and a knighthood and politicians kiss your arse.

Where's Stalin when you need him? Maybe Brits in general need to fill his boots? One good thing is at least US taxpayers are getting something from it. :) Or are we? :(

You are paid for by UK taxpayers - Assuming the fines being levied go to the American people ion some way.

The British tend to be slow to anger but when they do get angry things tend to change. It's always been a question why we never have riots and revolutions like they do in france and other countries. The reality is we have a long history of political protest and subsequent compromise, government makes concessions, extending the suffrage bringing in laws to change working conditions etc etc.

I don;t know what will happen but people are increasingly angry about all of this and the colation and labour seem totally divorced from reality. They have just cut the pay for new policemen from £23,00 to £19,000 the police, are cutting benefits while at the same time thinking about increasing their own.

MPs Want Salary Hike To More Than £80,000

You earn more than that as a bus driver where at least you are not expected to put your life on the line dealing with drunks on a saturday night. .

Isn't the problem here that If any banker is found to be ' criminally' guilty of fraud, It opens up a minefield of claims from the public who suffered because of them ?

Possibly and also it begs the question what were the regulators doing.

Pass the sick bag.

Not to worry though , once they've taken the benefits of the disabled and the lazy bastards that are in the dole and cut police pay everything will sort itself out.
