is oor wullie but sadly the dandy is done for

BBC News - Dandy owner DC Thomson to end comic's printed edition

Wouldn't catch any of our folk heroes running around in tights with their underpants on the outside and they didn't need superpowers. Anyone remember the wizard and victor or am i in a cultural wilderness?

I was a regular subscriber to Topper. A broadsheet you know. Not a tabloid like the others.

I loved them all, Beano, Dandy, Beezer, Topper, Victor. My mum used to get the Bunty delivered every Tuesday and I used to read that too

Wasn't allowed them as they were reckoned bad for my English. Just read friends' copies instead.

chuckle. Did once sit next to an illustrator for The Beano on a journey by coach once back in University days. All I can remember is him telling me there was an ongoing competition among the illustrators to see how much they could get away with putting penises in the Bash St Kids strip. Smiffy and Teacher's nose are the only two I can remember.
The crowd: "Yes! We are all individuals!"
