Does football require many brain cells? I'm thinking not. I'm thinking Vick was a dumb guy who had little other option and I'm thinking it's a damned sad state of affairs when all we care about is stupidass sports figures.

I'm also thinking if he had taken a five year old kid and slammed it down head first on the pavement or electrocuted it or set dogs on it or slashed its throat or drowned it in the bathtub, no one would be yammering on about forgiveness and great football skills, would they?

Actions speak louder than words.

thats all they care about Red...that he's a great player. We just learned last night that our quarterback Donovan McNabb was instrumental in getting Vick to come to Philly. Mcnabb sucks as he is always getting injured & can hardly get throuh a season...we lost going to the superbowl because of him, not like I care:wah:. But still, now I have to go through kids laundry & throw out his shirt in major protest:mad:

You know Ducks, when the Vick thing first started, people were sending their Vick jerseys and shirts to their local dog pounds for cleaning rags and such. :)

Don't throw them out! Mail them to the team headquarters with a polite note as to why they are in the mail and how they will be replaced by another teams' jerseys.

I like it.

Something I haven't seen mentioned here is Sick taking teeth out

of female dogs so they can't bite the males during "breeding".

(Anybody know what a "rape stand" is?)

Here is a list of team sponsors so you can boycott them:

I am not a football fan so I don't have anything like that in my house. That and DH isn't an Eagles fan.

I am going to be saving my Progresso soup labels (we will no longer be using Campbell's) to send to Campbell's headquarters with a note of explanation.

Hoppy & all

I guess I'd like to ask / present this question to all :

If you went to jail/prison for 2 yrs plus time

would your job/position be held open for your return?

would your boss recommend you to a friend in the same type of business?

this is the NFL decision to allow & open & PAY BIG $$ for Vick.

what rules & regulations do the NFL have? NONE

so, athletes can RAPE - KILL & ABUSE people & animals

and the crowd will pay to see him & applaud......

wow!!!!!! what's happening to society..???

You hit the nail on the head Patsy. It's a macho sport and peeps will pay out the butt for season tix to see these overpaid, glorified, macho, ego loving players play. I don't get it. But at the same time, these idiot fans will scream bloody murder if the average citizen does the same crime. Huh?

I'll never forget working in this Medical Office

a co-worker got a DUI on her weekend(day off).

She was fired. She was fired for the DUI she received.......

she did not receive a letter of recommendation.

she's saying "Paper or Plastic"

redeption - forgiveness ???

she did this to herself - she would have work release for her jail time..

so whats the problem here..?

I'm not much of a sports fan. I hate professional sports with a passion. Would much rather watch high school or little league sports. Some are even finding ways to corrupt those. I think it boils down to punishment. It's too short and easy.
