How many people here at the forums actually listen to Underground music

I used to but I'm sure it was different than the current underground.

For me it was bands like The Government.

That was in the 80s. What is the underground today?

I suspected when I saw the title "Another Love Song" that it was not really going to be a love song. I'm still of that opinion, having listened to it.

As far as the music goes, if you pretend you can't hear the lyrics, which is almost true, the song itself has a nice tune. It's repetitive but so is most music. I could chill out to that tune at a house party. I could even do homework to it.

When I looked up the lyrics I thought of Guns'N'Roses "I Used To Love Her (But I had to kill her)". Very similar. So it's not entirely original in the lyrics department, just a little more graphic. And kinder. I noticed at the end that the ICP dude was willing to kill himself as well and I thought that showed a little compassion.

I guess I was so deep into the underground music I didn't realize it was underground.

No. I didn't hear The Dishes. I'm excited about the album names for The Government though! I've been trying to locate their stuff online but when I type anything with government in it all I get are google results for Bush :-5

A big local band was Images in Vogue.

I'm not from Orillia but a lot of my friends were.

Give me a few days to exhume my Government vinyl, and a few more days to convert them to mp3, and I'll fix you up.
