The maintenance is a bitch.

You need a whole cupboard just for the chemicals.

If you work out a routine it's not that bad but expect some work to keep it ready to use.

I'm assuming this is therapeutic option for your wife. ? Nomad, you'd enjoy this too.

Does it help absolutely, I wouldn't live without it. Love mine for relaxing, whether its my back (due to surgery) or letting a jet hit my knee that I twisted.

I didn't pull my bathroom apart & install a large whirlpool. I found a CO. who comes out & turns your existing Tub into a whirlpool. I've had this tub CO. for @ 10 years - never a problem. The motor is installed in a closet from the ajoining room.

Not sure on size? etc.??

I'd be happy to look up the details for you - if this option interest you

It was a fraction of the cost and one of my better decisions.

I also bought a therapeutic massage chair - its to die for - we love this chair, it cost @ $3000.00 worth every penny.

I'll look up info and at least get the motor size etc.,

Good morn. sorry, its too early, too bright out, slumber party last night..:wah:

I wouldn't bother with a Hot Tub - Koan was right, chemicals & up keep & maintenance - too much trouble.. My swimming pool upkeep is easier..

Whirlpool Bath Tub - wonderful - helps with soreness - pain etc.. I wouldn't be without it.

I had 2 jets on the back of tub - one jet on each of tub - and 2 jets at the end of tub (foot/ankle area). Nothing better

Size motor ? the pressure for the water is adjustable with the dial - I think your wife would love it for her soreness & headaches & any pain.

Oh, your tub is ready - pre fab for jets ?

ah. ok. In the case of a tub, get one that blows air out of the jets not one that circulates water through from the tub. The water leaves residue in the jets and becomes near impossible to clean out thoroughly. Before you know it, you're sitting in a bubbly pool of scum.

OK - found my paperwork

Company is WHIRLBATHE www.whirlbathe.com

1-800-545-1367

Co. gives you 2-3 systems to choose from. I have the Diamond system, which is a

1 1/2 hp pump, 6 jets, 2 air controls. Cost $1200.00 in 2002.

I've never had a problem with this system & its frequently used.

KOAN - I've never had a cleaning yuk problem.

Occasionally to clean the system, you use the powder dishwasher soap and let the jets run the soap thru the system.

I had this system since 1997 - installed in my other home also.

The $$$ price is alittle negotiable - show hesitation, and is that the best price type

thing - wheel & deal. to date - you should still be able to get this system for @ 12-1400.00.

Use my name as a referral.

Patsy

Great company & they stand & support their product.
