Amber Alert Issued for 5 Year Old Illinois Girl

The Illinois State Police and the Granite City Police Department issued the AMBER Alert after the girl was apparently abducted by her grandmother on Sunday. The grandmother is currently free on bond on a murder charge and the child is considered to be in danger.

Makayla Christy, 5 yrs., white female, 41 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with pink writing, khaki capri pants and no shoes.

The suspect is Deborah McFadden, 44 years, white female, 5'4", 115 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a gray sweat shirt and a black jacket. She has her belongings with her so she may have changed clothes.

The suspect vehicle is a 2000 Silver Mercury Sable with Texas license number Z25-DWM.

Police believe they may be headed to Texas.

Amber Alert Canceled for 5 Year Old Illinois Girl

The Illinois State Police and the Granite City Police Department canceled the AMBER Alert after the girl was found safe on Monday morning. The suspect is in custody.

i don't get it...we don't allow bond on murder charges. most jurisdictions don't.
