I wish I could find some of the better ones, like Cabbage Head and the stoner guy who always played guitar with Satan. Those cracked me up.

I think my favorite is the one with Gordon the Grumpy Husband (Bruce) when he comes into the kitchen griping to his wife (Scott Thompson) and says "You never could clean house, look what I found under the sofa" and he's carrying a bomb.

:-6 What were your favorite skits?

Is there something wrong with me or did Dave Foley make a beautiful woman?!

Dave was my favorite. Followed by Bruce.

No he was hot when he was a woman. :wah: I forget their names but the really really gay one freaked me out. They each had their strong points but I think my favorite character was the chicken lady. Very creepy.

Ahh!!! I have some Chicken Lady for you, pal! I'll dig her up in a little bit.

I never cared for Buddy the gay guy either. It went on too long.

And Dave as the hooker...I'd sit and drool over him but then I was never sure what the heck I was doing...I'd think "yeah, he's a guy wearing a wig and lipstick but damn!!" :wah:

I love the (unseen) shop teacher grading his students' projects. ("Nice bookshelf, Tom." "Good spice rack, Bob.") When he comes to the third student, he exclaims "Jesus ! What's this supposed to be?" Cut to Jesus (yes, that Jesus) who stammers "It's errr, ... a speaker box?". The shop teacher proceeds to criticise it, while a dejected Jesus just stands there and takes it in.

Pretty funny, what with Jesus being famous as a carpenter, and all the other bits, too !

My sister always said he looked like Isabella Rossellini.

Good call on Isabella.

It was one of the short (maybe a minute...or less) filmed bits they would use between the main skits. I think it may have been Dave Foley or maybe Kevin McDonald as Jesus. What made it really funny was: a) Jesus making a "speaker box", the sort of thing you'd use for a sub-woofer. b) the idea that the most famous carpenter in history and the son of God, no less, would make such a lousy shop project, and c) the total passivity of Jesus as the shop teacher barks out his criticism. Talk about turning the other cheek ! I think even religious people would have appreciated it.

The TEMP!! Right! :wah: Remember when Dave switched the office coffee to decaf?

OH! I'll tell you my favorite skit of all time! Bruce as the overworked business executive guy. "Note to self: family is important." :wah: When he drinks the coffee right out of the pot and when he has that phone conversation with Don and Ron on two different phones and finally shoves both phones together and says "Don talk to Ron, Ron talk to Don!" When he rips his heart out of his chest and pours coffee on it to restart it!

That was the funniest dang thing! I laughed so hard I almost had an accident. :o

Dang it! That must be another one I missed! :(

Remember that annoying kid (Bruce) who was was always showing up and had that funny way of talking? I can't remember his name. there was a chair painting episode.

OH! Tucker the mechanic!! That one scene where one of the Kids goes to pick up his car and it's not ready yet. Tucker's under the hood with a mallet, beating on something, but as he brings the mallet up, he repeatedly smacks the underside of the hood. He's just beating heck out of everything.Sloppy mechanic. That would always send me rolling. :wah:

I love this thread.

I remember one were Bruce was trying to sell a painting of Elvis to a Scottish guy, and that he ended up selling it for less than the cost of the paints and canvas. I've seen that elvis picture in a pool hall, really. And at a flea market also. I think it's one of those paintings that's emulated over and over again for instruction.
