I wouldn't. I don't think it's crazy but I would not want to do that cause I can barely support myself. Except food, there are more expenses (such as grooming and health care) when haveing a pet.

My parents didn't spend much time with me when I grew up. I never felt it's an issue since they are always there when I need help. I guess that makes the difference

I think all of us feel lonely sometimes. Being alone is never a problem for me cause there is always something to do. Maybe having a new hobby can help you kill some free time.
