<t>With the Breeder's Cup coming up toward the end of next month, what do the racing fans here on FG think of it all? Never mind the Curlin vs. Big Brown talk, there's actually a lot more to look at: all the races for fillies and mares (the ladies in racing) have been moved to Friday, the Distaff ha...

I read that in a friend's public blog on LiveJournal. Honestly, it makes me nauseated.
"Hi, would you like to try today's special, HIV on a sugar cone?"
Uh, no thanks. TB in cow's milk sounds better.

<t>Dragonhaven, by Robin McKinley, is gut-bustingly funny. She wrote the book from the perspective of a 14-year-old boy (the hero of the story), so everything is scattered. If you can manage to follow the storyline without getting lost in the tangents, you'll more than likely laugh until you're in s...

Fiction vs Non Fiction
I don't care much for nonfiction unless it's about something/someone I'm interested in. I think about 90% of my personal library is fiction, and a good portion of that is fantasy from the teen/young adult section. My favorites are the classics, though.

I think the middle photo would look fantastic in b&w. If you want to tint it, I'd go with sepia for a more old-fashioned look. Other than that, I'd lead it in b&w.

Hi, just registered today. Nice place you've got here, lots of interesting topics. I'm a college student majoring in photography at a university in Ohio. I like meeting new people, especially folks who enjoy the same things I do.
